Terms of Service
Last updated: November 2026. A legal review of these terms is recommended.
1. Who we are
HouseBook (the app and housebook.life) is provided by ALTYPIST DOO Beograd, Milutina Milankovića 7 DJ, 11070 Belgrade, Republic of Serbia (“we”). Contact: hello@housebook.life.
2. The service
HouseBook is a private journal for a household: your homes and rooms, meter readings, maintenance and repair records, purchases, documents, the shopping list, expenses and reminders, shared only with the people you invite. You need an account. You are responsible for the content you add and for whom you invite. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
3. Free plan and Premium
The free plan is free forever. HouseBook Premium is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features for every member of one HouseBook household: More than one home (1 on the free plan); Documents: contracts, deeds, warranties, receipts — with photos; Before and after photos of repairs. Prices: €4.99 per month or €39.99 per year, including VAT where applicable; local prices in the App Store or Google Play may differ.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Where you buy. On housebook.life, payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC), our reseller and merchant of record, under its own buyer terms. When purchases in the app become available, they are made through the App Store or Google Play under their terms; manage or cancel them in your store account settings.
- Gifts. A gift is one year of Premium for one household, paid once, activated with a code at housebook.life/gift. It does not renew. A gift code can be used once.
- After Premium ends. Nothing you saved is deleted: photos and documents remain visible. You can no longer add beyond the free limits.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use HouseBook to store illegal content, to harass anyone, or to attempt to access other people’s data or bypass technical limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. Your content and data
Your content stays yours. You grant us only the rights needed to store it and show it to the members of your household. You can export your data and delete your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Liability
HouseBook does not give legal, financial or technical advice. We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health; otherwise only for breach of essential obligations and limited to foreseeable damage. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Changes and law
We may update these terms; for paid subscriptions we will notify you of material changes in advance. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence apply. Refunds: see the Refund Policy.
